The New Jersey Hall of Fame has been recognized as a finalist for Ragan’s 2023 Video, Visual, and Virtual Awards in the category of Virtual Event of the Year. The recognition highlights the success of the virtual event produced for the organization, which celebrated its 2022 inductees and reached its largest audience ever.
During the pandemic, PSC helped the organization transition from its traditional live red-carpet ceremony to an engaging virtual format. The 14th annual New Jersey Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, hosted by Danny DeVito, featured special appearances by Governor Phil Murphy, First Lady Tammy Snyder-Murphy, Jon Bon Jovi, and Melba Moore. To support the event’s success, PSC implemented a comprehensive strategy that included:
- Partnerships with PBS and Fox affiliates for multi-day broadcasts
- Production and airing of 30-second PSAs
- Premiering the program on the NJHOF’s YouTube and Facebook channels
- Boosting videos on Facebook for increased visibility
- Media relations to key outlets
- Targeted email campaigns
- Utilizing YouTube Live for a pre-program memorial ceremony
The finalist recognition by Ragan underscores the PSC and the New Jersey Hall of Fame’s ability to adapt and engage with a wide audience through innovative virtual event strategies.
