Joshua Arnold – Strategic Communications Consultant

“You just can’t beat the person who never gives up.”

That’s been Josh’s philosophy in business, in life, and in service to his clients. Whether he is crafting communications for a Fortune 500 company, a special interest group, or a candidate for elected office, Josh brings a tenacity to storytelling seldom outmatched.

The genesis for this philosophy begins in a politically conscious family and a book on JFK picked up from an Elementary School library in the mid-nineties.

“Growing up, my family was always debating politics and sharing stories. When I picked up a book on JFK in the 5th grade, it really married those two concepts in my mind, perhaps without me realizing it.” Josh explains. “At the time, I thought I was growing more interested in American politics. But, in reality, I was falling in love with the impact effective messaging can have on the public.”

In the decades since that day, Josh has led communications strategy for members of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and the Pennsylvania Senate, as well as large corporate clients such as Merck, City National Bank, Signant Health and Intel. He also served as the Executive Director of the Montgomery County Republican Committee, the third-largest County Party in Pennsylvania at the time, for two years. This eclectic communications background serves as the benchmark for his approach to managing his firm, 121 Strategies.

“Having well-rounded experiences in both the corporate and government fields has shown me that these two seemingly different sectors, in fact, could each benefit immensely from the other’s approach.” Josh says. “That has been our ideology from day one: bring the competitive edge of politics to the private sector and the ingenuity of the private sector to politics.”

This “corporate campaigns” approach to business made the partnership between 121 Strategies and PSC seamless, with both organizations having similar client lists and organizational philosophies.

“It is an honor to partner with PSC and truly humbling to be counted amongst such a talented roster. I’m looking forward to telling our client’s stories together.”

Josh holds a BS from Kutztown University and studied Public Administration as a graduate student at West Chester University. He resides in West Norriton with his wife, Timae, and their son Christian.
